Bonchon, a restaurant chain specializing in Korean fried chicken, is planning to open three locations around Greater Cincinnati.
According to a release, Bonchon's Ohio franchise partners Max Liu and Hong Zhong will open three new restaurants in the area near the Kenwood Towne Center and Cincinnati. The precise locations have not yet been selected.
The South Korean-based fast-casual restaurant has more than 110 locations around the U.S., including one other Ohio location in Cleveland. It has expanded rapidly over the last two years, opening 23 locations this year.
Korean for "my hometown," Bonchon is best known for its Korean fried chicken. Its menu also includes Korean tacos, bulgogi, chicken katsu, bibimbap and udon noodle soup.
This year, the restaurant was included in Nation's Restaurant News' 2021 "Top 500 Restaurants", Fast Casual Magazine's 2021 "Top 100 Movers & Shakers" and Entrepreneur's "2021 Franchise 500 List."
