A 31-year-old man who lived with his mother near Kenwood coerced a teenage girl into sending him sexually explicit images and videos as well as install a webcam in her bedroom, court documents say.
Jocko Dane Rosello has been charged in federal court in Cincinnati with possession of child pornography and receipt of child pornography.
Among the hundreds of images and videos of child pornography found on Rosello’s tablet computer were five videos of the girl engaging in sex acts, investigators said.
The documents also describe how investigators connected Rosello to accounts on the messaging app Kik that were used to transmit child pornography. The accounts were named: “ithelildevil” and “hotterwhensmaller.”
Rosello is being held at the Butler County Jail. A hearing about whether he will be released while he awaits trial is set for Feb. 1. His attorney, Adam Bleile, did not return messages seeking comment.
According to a complaint that was unsealed Wednesday, the girl was 16 in late 2019 when she began communicating through Instagram with a person named “Jack.” She told investigators she sent two sexually explicit images of herself to that person.
Eventually, the girl began receiving messages, threatening her and her family, the documents say. She was told that if she didn’t break up with her boyfriend, the documents say, the images would be sent to her school.
The messages stopped for a time, but the individual again began contacting her and threatening her.
“He told her that if she sent him a naked image of herself, he would stop,” the documents say.
He also sent her a wireless internet camera and told her to put it in her bedroom so he could “make sure she was doing what she was supposed to do,” the documents say.
Soon after she set up the camera, an Instagram account that investigators connected to Rosello, “Averyconcernedfriend1,” began following people in her family, the documents say, and an email account using a similar name also began emailing the girl’s mother.
The documents say Rosello was connected to Kik accounts that were transmitting child pornography through another investigation as well as tips Kik itself submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
On Jan. 20, investigators searched the apartment in Sycamore Township where Rosello and his mother live.
According to the documents: Inside a guitar case in Rosello’s bedroom, investigators found sex toys and as well as a laptop, cellphone and tablet. Stored on the Alcatel OneTouch tablet were about 300 videos and images of suspected child pornography. Five of the videos showed the teen girl engaging in sex acts, the documents say.
Court records show that in 2016 Rosello was charged in Jefferson County, Kentucky with trying to procure a minor for sex. Documents say he was connected to a Craigslist.com ad that sought “any girl into perv and taboo” as well as a girl who was “into incest.”
Those charges are still pending.
