MIAMI – Eugenio Suárez didn't appear to say much to home-plate umpire Edwin Moscoso after a called third strike Sunday, but it was a quick ejection in the seventh inning at loanDepot park.
Suárez tossed his bat to the dugout, thinking an elevated full-count fastball from Miami Marlins reliever Anthony Bender was going to lead to a walk. After he took two steps out of the batter's box, he heard Moscoso call it a strike to end the inning.

He turned his head and said something to Moscoso as he continued walking up the first-base line and he was immediately ejected. Suárez folded his arms and took a few more steps toward the Reds' dugout once Moscoso signaled his afternoon was over.
Suárez then turned around to chat with Moscoso as Reds manager David Bell came out of the dugout. It was a relatively calm conversation between Suárez, Bell and Moscoso before "God Bless America" was sung during the middle of the seventh inning.
It was Suárez's second ejection of the season. Max Schrock replaced him at third base in the following half-inning.
