Historic Bellevue, Kentucky, house is up for sale; take a look inside

If you've ever driven past this iconic Bellevue house and wondered what its like inside, now's your chance: It's for sale.

The four-bed, four-bath 4,000 square-foot home on Fairfield Avenue in Bellevue is now on the market for $399,900, according to its listing.

The house first went on the market Aug. 20 and is currently owned by Flaming Lips bassist Michael Ivins.

It was built in 1917, listing agent Lori Taylor said, for a local businessman named John Smith. Smith's initials are still in the tile work on the front porch.

According to the listing, the Tudor-style house is "loaded with old world charm and character," including intricate millwork, coffered ceilings, hardwood floors and four fireplaces with original tile work and mantels.

It also features a recognizable green-tiled roof.

"It's a house that a lot of people in Bellevue know, and we've had a million people come through," Taylor said.
