A man wounded in a shootout with a Warren County deputy has now pled guilty to all counts against him.Lance Runion, 57, of Deerfield Township, pled guilty Thursday to all counts and specifications contained in an aggravated murder indictment. On Feb. 15, authorities were called to Runion's home in the 7800 block of Hunt Club Drive. Dispatchers received a call from Runion's brother, who told officials he was concerned about his brother's well-being. A doorbell camera caught the incident on camera. Deputy Sara Vaught knocks, and you can hear deputies say, "Here he comes. Here he comes."When the door opens, you see a person point a gun at Vaught and shoot. She ducked and was not hit. She fired back. Investigators said Runion was hit. He spent several weeks in a hospital before being discharged and transferred to the Warren County Jail.Warren County Common Pleas Judge Timothy Tepe accepted Runion’s guilty plea Thursday for attempted aggravated murder with accompanying seven-year and three-year firearm specifications; attempted murder with accompanying seven-year and three-year firearm specifications; and felonious assault with accompanying seven-year and five-year firearm specifications. All told, Runion faces a maximum of 18 to 23 ½ years in prison.Runion is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 13.
