A man was arrested Sunday after jumping out of a moving car during a police chase near Whitewater Township. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the pursuit started around 7:56 a.m. when a trooper tried to pull a car over for speeding and other lane violations.The driver of the car, Branden Whitt, 30, didn't stop, leading police on a pursuit along I-74. At one point the driver hit a guardrail but continued to drive.Whitt then got off the highway and jumped out of his moving car, trying to run from police.The car continued to travel, hitting a parked car.While continuing to chase him, a trooper used a stun gun on Whitt and arrested him.Whitt was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital to be evaluated for his injuries. He was later released and taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.He's been charged with receiving stolen property, failing to comply with a lawful order, reckless operation, operating a vehicle under the influence, driving under suspension and not wearing his seatbelt.The incident remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
