'He went downhill so fast': 12-year-old boy in Texas dies after testing positive for COVID-19
Ryland Aic loved life. He was he was a boy. I mean he loved fishing. He loved, you know, hanging out with his brothers. It's hard for his mother to imagine her life in the wake of his death. He lose my buddy, Ryland, his mother says. And Ryland grandfather, who he was visiting got sick on thursday, august 5th other relatives learned they were covid positive a few days earlier, but they sounded congested like, you know, like you have a head cold and uh, talk to him multiple times a day. You know, he was still going out fishing and you know, playing and building his model cars and making Tiktok videos. But something changed because the following Tuesday last Tuesday, he went downhill so fast. I mean just horrendously fast. He could barely speak. He was there, but he wasn't there. Ryland was airlifted to Children's memorial Hermann. He said that his heart wasn't able to be Ryland died on Tuesday before his mom was able to make it to the hospital. She says the hospital confirmed he was covid positive. He was born with asthma but hasn't even had a problem in 10 or 11 years. I mean nothing. His stepfather says he's going to miss everything about him. I don't want another parent to have to go through this Last Thursday. Ryland Aic should have started his first day of 6th grade, take pictures because unfortunately that's all we have left
