Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto had two hits in the 7th inning of Monday night's 14-5 win against the Chicago Cubs. The first one was the 2,000th of his remarkable Major League Baseball career.
Votto lined a single into center field for hit No. 2,000. Later in the Reds' eight-run inning, he looped a single into left field to drive in Jonathan India for hit No. 2,001.
