Free-agent pitcher Matt Harvey reached a minor-league deal with the Baltimore Orioles, according to multiple reports Saturday.
The deal - pending a physical - will pay Harvey about $1 million if he makes the team out of camp, per MLB.com's Joe Trezza.
Harvey has pitched in the big leagues for the New York Mets, the Cincinnati Reds, the Los Angeles Angels and the Kansas City Royals.
He was 0-3 with an 11.57 ERA in seven appearances - including four starts - for the Royals in 2020 after signing a minor-league deal with the team in July. He allowed six home runs in 11 2/3 innings.
Harvey, 31, signed a minor-league deal with the A's in Aug. 2019. He did not pitch in the Majors for Oakland.
Harvey was released in July 2019 by the Angels. Harvey was 3-5 with a 7.09 ERA in 12 starts for the Angels, which signed him to a one-year, $11 million contract in December 2018 after the Reds granted him free agency.
Harvey made 24 starts for the Reds in 2018 - going 7-7 with a 4.50 ERA and 111 strikeouts in 128 innings - after they acquired him from the Mets for catcher Devin Mesoraco.
Harvey was an All-Star in 2013 for the Mets.
