A 10-year-old boy died after falling into an icy pond in Tennessee on Sunday, fire officials said. His 6-year-old sister was rescued by an adult on the scene after the two children had walked onto an ice-covered pond that was not sufficiently frozen to support their weight.
The Louisiana Department of Health on Monday reported that a 50-year-old Lafayette Parish man slipped on ice, fatally hitting his head on the ground.
