OHSAA sets more state tournament venues for 2021-22 school year

The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced more state tournament venues for the 2021-22 school year and beyond.

The COVID-19 pandemic imposed alterations to multiple traditional state tournament venues during the 2020-21 school year.

The OHSAA individual wrestling state tournament will return to the Schottenstein Center at Ohio State University for the next three years, with an option for a two-year extension, according to a Monday afternoon press release. The 2021 state individual wrestling tournament was hosted at Highland, Marion Harding and Hilliard Darby high schools.

The wrestling state tournament will start on Friday, March 11, 2022.

The volleyball state tournament will return to the Nutter Center at Wright State University in Dayton. The 11,200-set venue has hosted the volleyball state tournament since 1991, sans last year due to the pandemic, when it was played at Vandalia Butler High School.
