Cincinnati City Council member Chris Seelbach will not run for mayor. After contemplating a mayoral run since late last year, the 41-year-old announced Wednesday that he will not run for office, saying his next move "will not be in elected politics.""I hope those running will champion the priorities I outlined in my announcement last December," Seelbach said. The councilman previously outlined five priorities for his potential mayoral run, which included community policing reforms; affordable housing and wage equity; racial and gender disparities; urban transportation investments; and transparency, ethics and community engagement.Other mayoral hopefuls include Aftab Pureval, Herman Najoli, David Mann, Kelli Prather, Raffel Prophett and Cecil Thomas.
