More accumulating snow for Cincinnati area: What to expect
FOLKS WITHOUT POWER. SO THANKFULLY WE’RE NOT IN THAT SITUATION HERE AT HOME. WE DID GET SOME SNOW THOUGH RANDY, BUT OBVIOUSLY WE’RE ACCUSTOMED TO THOSE TEMPERATURES AND CAN HANDLE THE SNOW. RIGHT. WE HAVE THE SUPPLIES WE HAVE TO ACCOUNT FOR RIGHT ON A YEARLY BASIS RIGHT AS WE TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT’S GOING WHAT? GOING ON EARLY THIS MORNING. YES MORE SNOW AND YOU CAN SEE RIGHT AT THE MOMENT THAT DEEPER BLUE OVER TOP OF SOUTHEASTERN, INDIANA SO VERSAILLES AURORA HARRISON SOME OF THE SPOTS WHERE THE SNOW’S COMING DOWN A LITTLE BIT OF A QUICKER PACE NOW, NONE OF THIS IS THE ONE INCH PER HOUR RAPIDLY ACCUMULATING SNOW THAT WE’VE SEEN WITH A FEW OF OUR PRIOR SYSTEMS OVER THE LAST TWO WEEKS OR SO, BUT IT’S STILL DEFINITELY ONE OF THE HEAVIER SPOTS OF SNOW RIGHT THERE BETWEEN DOVER AND HARRISON RIGHT ALONG 74, SO THAT IS EASILY COATING THE HIGHWAY AGAIN IF THE ROAD CREWS WERE ABLE TO MAKE THOSE LANES CLEAR AFTER THE INITIAL ROUND OVERNIGHT LIKELY STILL SNOW COVERED. THANKS TO THE SNOW SHOWERS THAT ARE MOVING FROM MANCHESTER TO DOVER AND HARRISON AND NOW CROSSING THE STATE LINE AND MOVING TOWARD OKEANA AND ROSS AND RILEY. YOU’LL SEE THE SNOW PICKUP HERE SOON IN OXFORD AND HAMILTON AND FAIRFIELD SO AREAS RIGHT NOW, IT LOOKS LIKE WEST SEEING THE POCKET OF HEAVIER SNOW A LITTLE BIT OF DRIER AIR WORKING IN AT THE MOMENT. FOUR AREAS ALONG IN SOUTH OF THE OHIO RIVER. WE STILL HAVE STEADY SNOW SHOWERS RIGHT UP 71 SO ANYWHERE FROM MASON TO LEBANON WAYNESVILLE. WE TOOK A LIVE LOOK AT LEBANON COUPLE MINUTES AGO, AND YOU CAN SEE TIRE TRACKS IN THE STREET, BUT DEFINITELY NO FULL LANES THERE WILMINGTON STEADY SNOW SHOWERS AND RIGHT THERE ALONG ROUTE 50 BETWEEN FAYETTEVILLE AND HILLSBOROUGH AND THROUGH HIGHLAND COUNTY ANOTHER AREA WHERE YOU’RE SEEING SLIGHTLY HEAVIER SNOW SHOWERS DEFINITELY LIGHTER INTO KENTUCKY AT THE MOMENT FROM TAYLOR MILLED INDEPEND. BACK TOWARDS 71-75 AND AGAIN, THIS IS A VERY LARGE SYSTEM. THIS IS ACTUALLY COMING AT US ALL THE WAY DOWN FROM AREAS NEAR MEMPHIS. SO THIS IS GOING TO SLOWLY MOVE IN OUR DIRECTION AS WE GO THROUGH THE DAY WHICH MEANS CONSISTENT SNOW THROUGH THE MORNING AND THEN IT DOES TAPER AS WE GET INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON. SO WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT ACROSS OUR AREA AND THE FUTURECAST SHOWS 6:30 IN THE MORNING PLAN ON IT SNOWING AND YOU’RE PART OF TOWN AS YOU HEAD OUT THE DOOR TO WORK OR SCHOOL. OBVIOUSLY, WE HAVE THE CLOSINGS AND DELAYS UPDATED. CONSTANTLY THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SCREEN THERE AND ON OUR APP 8AM SNOW SHOWERS CONTINUING AND LUNCHTIME. SAME THING AT TIMES. IT’LL RAMP UP AN INTENSE DATE AND IT FADES. IT’S IT’S NOT A QUICK HITTING HEAVY SNOW. IT’S A CONSISTENT SNOW AND BECAUSE OUR TEMPERATURES ARE HANGING OUT IN THE 20S EVERY BIT OF SNOW THAT FALLS STICKS WE HIT NOON TODAY SNOW SHOWERS STILL PRETTY STEADY, BUT I THINK YOU START TO NOTICE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ABOUT 2 PM AND 5 PM. WE’RE GOING TO START TO SEE THOSE SNOW SHOWERS. UP AND MOVE OUT IN FACT BY THE EARLY EVENING. THE SNOW IS GONE. YOU COULD EXPECT A COUPLE OF LINGERING FLURRIES, BUT THAT’S IT. SO THE BIGGER IMPACT ON THE MORNING COMMUTE ON LUNCHTIME AND AFTER SCHOOL, BUT BY THE EVENING DRIVE, THE ACCUMULATING SNOW SHOULD BE DONE WITH FOR US. RIGHT NOW IT’S 21 DEGREES SNOW SHOWERS REPORTED AT THE AIRPORT WINDS OUT OF THE NORTH NORTHEAST AT NINE MILES AN HOUR AND THAT MAKES IT FEEL LIKE 11 SO WIND CHILLS GENERALLY IN THE TEENS TODAY SNOW SHOWERS CONSISTENT EARLY OFF AND ON THIS AFTERNOON AND FADING INTO THE EVENING AS WE TAKE A LOOK INTO THE WEEKEND SOME GOOD NEWS FOR YOU FRIDAY AND SATURDAY SURE IT IS GOING TO BE COLD. WE HAVE FRESH SNOW HERE FOR US TODAY AND THAT WILL HELP KEEP OUR TEMPERATURES ON THE COOL SIDE. FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, BUT THEY’RE BOTH DRY DAYS AND ONCE WE GET INTO SUNDAY, WE ACTUALLY GO ABOVE FREEZING SO AS THIS DECK SYSTEM MOVES IN SUNDAY NIGHT. WE’RE ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT RAIN NOT SNOW. SO THAT’LL BE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO FOR EARLY NEXT WEEK AS OUR TEMPERATURES REBOUND TODAY 28 DEGREES STEADY MORNING SNOW A LITTLE MORE SCATTERED OR KIND OF TAPERING OFF IN THE AFTERNOON, AND WE’RE PICKING UP ONE TO THREE INCHES OF SNOW IN MOST AREAS. COULD WE GET A FOUR INCH AMOUNT SOMEWHERE? SURE, DEPENDING ON WHERE THOSE HEAVIER BANDS SET UP BUT FOR MOST OF US KIND OF AVERAGING TWO THREE INCHES OF SNOW THROUGHOUT THE DAY TOMORROW, WE START OUT AT 16 WE MAKE IT TO 25 A VERY COLD START EARLY SATURDAY KEEP DON’T MIND IF YOU GO OUT FOR AN EARLY MORNING RUN OR YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO DO FIRST THING A COLD START, BUT SUNDAY, WE’RE UP TO 38 AND MONDAY WE START THE DAY WITH RAIN, BUT IT ENDS PRETTY EARLY AND THEN BRING ON THAT WARM-UP ELENA LOVE THE SOUND OF THE WARM UP. THANK YOU RANDY A
