A mother cat and her 1-day-old babies are safe Thursday after they were found abandoned outside of a New Miami church.The Butler County Sheriff's Office Bomb Unit was called to the church after a bag was found sitting outside of the church in the snow.When the Bomb Unit arrived, they did not hear any ticking. Instead, they heard purring. When they opened the bag, they found a cat and six kittens along with a note from whoever abandoned them. The note read: "Mom's name is sprinkles. She began giving birth at 2:00 p.m., Wed. Feb. 17th."The cat and six kittens were taken to Animal Friends Humane Society where they continue to receive care, Sheriff Richard Jones wrote on Twitter Thursday.
