Man brandishing firearm shot by officer during traffic stop in Northern Kentucky


The Kentucky State Police is investigating after a shooting involving a Villa Hills officer on Saturday.The shooting took place around 11 p.m. on I-75 in Kenton County when Villa Hills officers pulled a car over in the southbound lanes for a traffic violation.Once the officers made contact with the man inside the car, the man brandished a handgun. That's when an officer pulled out their gun and shot the man.He was taken to St Elizabeth Hospital in Florence for his injuries.
