Rose Lavelle featured prominently in the United States women's national team's latest success on the international stage.
The "USWNT's" 6-0 win against Argentina at Exploria Stadium on Wednesday clinched the American's win in the annual four-team, round-robin SheBelieves Cup, which also featured the star-studded Canadian and Brazilian women's national teams.
Lavelle notched one assist during a first half against the Argentinians in which the USWNT went up 4-0.
Lavelle was named the competition's Most Valuable Player following the win over Argentina, which was preceded by 1-0 and 2-0 victories against Canada and Brazil, respectively.
Lavelle scored the game-winning goal against rival Canada on Feb. 18. She would go on to start for the Americans against Brazil.
By the end of Wednesday's proceedings, Megan Rapinoe notched two goals while Carli Lloyd, Kristie Mewis, Alex Morgan and Christen Press all added one tally apiece.
A win or draw would have clinched the tournament for the U.S., but they took their second consecutive SheBelieves title and fourth overall with great style in front of goal.
Should the Tokyo Summer Olympics go forward later this year, the USWNT figures to be one of the favorites for gold in women's soccer. The competition for Olympic roster spots is heating up, so the U.S. players didn't let up on the world-ranked No. 31 Argentina.
Lavelle, a Mount Notre Dame High School and Cincinnati United Premier alum who played at the University of Wisconsin, is currently playing her club soccer at Manchester City WFC in England.
She last appeared for the Manchester side as a substitute in a 3-0 "Manchester Derby" victory against Manchester United FC.
Manchester City currently sits No. 2 in the 12-club women's first-division competition on a 10-3-1 record (33 points).
