Flooding concerns tonight through Sunday
GOOD IT WAS AMAZING, BUT IT’S GONNA BE A GREAT DAY TO HEAD OUT TO MAINE STRAUSS OTR, MADISONVILLE HYDE PARK OAKLEY NORTHSIDE ANYWHERE. YOU WANT TO HEAD OUT TODAY NOT GOING TO BE TOO BAD EARLY THIS MORNING. YES, WE’VE SEEN SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS. YES. IT’S A LITTLE GLOOMY OUTSIDE THAT’LL QUICKLY WEAR OFF TEMPERATURES GET CLOSE TO 60 DEGREES AND THE MAJORITY OF YOUR SATURDAY. NOT TOO BAD. DEFINITELY THE BETTER OF THE TWO DAYS FOR YOUR WEEKEND BECAUSE STARTING STARTING RIGHT AROUND MIDNIGHT TONIGHT THROUGHOUT THE MAJORITY OF YOUR SUNDAY AT LEAST THE FIRST HALF YOU’RE GOING TO SEE SOME RAIN AT TIMES HEAVY RAIN SOME PRETTY CONSTANT SHOWERS MOVING ON IN BY THE TIME IT’S ALL SAID AND DONE AN INCH, MAYBE MORE THROUGHOUT THE CENTRAL AND NORTHERN HALF OF THE AREA QUITE A BIT MORE THE FURTHER SOUTH THAT YOU GO. SO THAT’S GOING TO BE A BIG CONCERN IN TERMS OF RIVER LEVELS AS YOU MAKE YOUR WAY HERE OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS SOMETHING WE’RE KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON IN TERMS OF THE RAIN THIS MORNING MOST OF ITS OUT OF HERE. NOT MUCH OF AN ISSUE JUST A FEW LIGHT SCATTERED SHOWERS FURTHER UP THERE TO THE NORTHEAST NOT ANYTHING ELSE FURTHER OFF TO THE WEST EX THE CLOUDY SKIES, AND YES THE GLOOMY CONDITIONS THAT ARE STILL STICKING AROUND. WE EXPAND THIS VIEW JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE THIS MOISTURE THAT’S BEEN DEVELOPING HERE OVER THE LAST HOUR OR TWO. THAT’S GONNA CONTINUE TO BUILD AND EVENTUALLY SLIDE ALL THE WAY UP INTO OUR AREA STARTING FURTHER OFF TO THE SOUTH FIRST AND THAT’S ALSO WHERE THE HEAVIER RAIN IS GOING TO BE FALLING. THE HIGHER TOTALS TOTALS WILL BE AND BECAUSE OF THAT THE WATCH IS GOING TO BE IN EFFECT. THAT IS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RIVER LEVELS. THIS IS A SHORT-TERM PROBLEM THAT WILL BE DEALING WITH LATE TONIGHT THROUGHOUT TOMORROW BECAUSE SOME OF THOSE AREAS SEEING CLOSE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN. SO OUR RIVER LEVELS, LET’S GET AN UPDATE ON THAT SITTING AT ABOUT 38 FEET RIGHT NOW THAT’S BEEN SLOWLY CLIMBING OVER THE LAST SEVERAL DAYS AND THE LUCKY THING IS WE REALLY HAVEN’T SEEN ANY RAIN THAT’S AFFECTED THAT THAT’S ALL THANKS TO THE SNOW MELT THAT WE’VE BEEN SEEING THROUGHOUT THE MIDWEST AND ESPECIALLY FURTHER UP TO THE NORTH AND EAST OF OUR AREA NOW AS YOU MAKE OUR WAY THROUGHOUT THE NEXT FEW. AGE WE ARE EXPECTING THAT TO JUMP UP PRETTY QUICKLY BY MONDAY THE FIRST DAY OF MARCH WE’RE EXPECTED TO BE INTO ACTION STAGE. WE’RE HEADED FOR 48 FEET BY 7 AM ON WEDNESDAY MORNING AS OF RIGHT NOW WE HAVE ABOUT A 25% CHANCE TO SEE THAT RIVER RISE UP TO 52 FEET THAT MAKES IT INTO MINOR FLOOD STAGE IF THAT HAPPENS. SO A BIG FACTOR IN THAT IS GOING TO BE HOW MUCH RAIN WE SEE TONIGHT THROUGHOUT TOMORROW AND IF WE GET A FEW MORE CHANCES THROUGHOUT THE EARLY PARTS OF THE WEEK, SO YOU TAKE A LIVE LOOK OVER DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI. NO, IT DOESN’T LOOK PRETTY RIGHT NOW, BUT AT LEAST THAT RAIN HAS MOVED OUT. FOR THE MOST PART, IT’S JUST GOING TO BE GLOOMY. MAYBE SOME MISTY CONDITIONS YOU GOT THOSE WINDS AT ABOUT 10 MILES PER HOUR, BUT WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO UPPER 40S, REALLY NOT TOO BAD OUT THERE. EVERYBODY’S IN THE MID TO UPPER 40S 46 LEVELING AND MASON 45 AND HAMILTON. WE’RE HEADED FOR THAT 50 DEGREE MARK ALREADY ABOVE AVERAGE DESPITE THE FACT THAT WE SEE MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES UP UNTIL ABOUT NOON ONE O’CLOCK AND TEMPERATURES. DON’T STOP THERE. THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CLIMB WE GET CLOSE TO 60. I THINK IF SOME AREAS GET SOME MORE SUNSHINE THAN OTHERS 59 60, MAYBE A TAB. WARMER, NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION. SO TODAY CERTAINLY NOW THAT THIS RAIN IS MOVING OUT GONNA BE A PRETTY NICE DAY OUT THERE FUTURE CAST THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE DAY TODAY YOUR DRY. IT’S NOT UNTIL AROUND ELEVEN O’CLOCK MIDNIGHT THAT THIS RAIN STARTS TO MOVE ON IN HEAVY RAIN AT TIMES YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THE ORANGES THE REDS ALL PUSHING IN STARTING OFF IN THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE AREA. THAT’S WHY THOSE TOTALS WILL BE A LITTLE BIT HIGHER EVEN EARLY TOMORROW MORNING THAT RAIN IS GONNA BE FALLING SO YOUR SUNDAY MORNING PLANS NOT GONNA BE GREAT YOU MAKE YOUR WAY INTO SUNDAY AFTERNOON. YOU COULD SEE SOME MORE RAIN PUSH ON IN SO 7:30. O’CLOCK WE COULD HAVE A SECOND ROUND AND THAT’S WHY WHEN YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THESE TOTALS THE HEAVIER STUFF. IT’S DOWN TO THE SOUTH INCH AND A HALF TWO INCHES. THAT’LL BE A CONCERNED FLASH FLOODING WISE THE FURTHER NORTH THAT YOU GO NOT QUITE AN ISSUE, BUT STILL THOSE RIVER LEVELS WILL BE A CONCERN. SO TOMORROW’S THE WEATHER IMPACT DAY 62 NOT A LOT OF DRY TIME THOUGH MID. IS ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY BEFORE WE REBOUND TO
