Cincinnati Bearcats transfer Chris Vogt is expected to be eligible to play the upcoming season - his fifth of college basketball - for the Wisconsin Badgers, according to a report Monday via Twitter from CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.
Vogt announced in May that he'd play his fifth season of college basketball for Wisconsin. He can can use an extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vogt, a 7-foot-1, 260-pound center who played the past two seasons for former head coach John Brannen at UC, entered the transfer portal in April. Vogt followed Brannen from Northern Kentucky University after playing his first two collegiate seasons for the Norse.
Vogt averaged 5.0 points and 3.5 rebounds in 19.4 minutes per game last season in 23 games for the Bearcats. He averaged 11.0 points and 5.9 rebounds in 28.5 minutes per game for UC during the 2019-20 season.
In April 2020, Vogt declared for the 2020 NBA Draft while still maintaining his eligibility.
UC parted ways with Brannen in April, hiring UNC Greensboro head coach Wes Miller to replace him. Miller agreed to a six-year, $7.875 million deal to be the Bearcats' head coach.
