Springfield Township Police said a woman died after her vehicle was struck by a speeding car Saturday.
Police said a car was going 80 miles per hour on West North Bend Road and Daly Road and ignored officers who tried to stop the vehicle.
The car continued onto Kipling Avenue, where officers lost sight of the vehicle.
About ten minutes later, officers saw the car traveling east on Galbraith Road near Hamilton Avenue, going 100 miles per hour before crashing at the intersection of Galbraith Road and Winton Road, police said.
Police said the driver attempted to flee on foot before being caught.
A woman whose car was struck by the suspect died at the scene, police said.
Springfield police identified her as 51-year-old Yvette Smith of Cincinnati.
The suspect was identified as 24-year-old Andre Christopher of Cincinnati.
Christopher was arrested at the scene and has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, obstructing official business and driving with a suspended license.
