Prince Charles made his first public appearance in the wake of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's tell-all interview with Oprah, visiting a vaccine pop-up clinic in London. While at the clinic, Charles was asked by a reporter, "Sir, can I ask what did you think of the interview?" He apparently smiled while saying nothing. The moment was reported on by royal correspondents at the scene: On Tuesday, Buckingham Palace released a statement on behalf of Queen Elizabeth. "The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members," the statement read. Royal reporter Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight that "William is devastated by this interview," and said that a source close to Prince Charles told her he was "despairing over the interview" a few days before it aired.In the tell-all, Harry spoke candidly about his relationship with his father, saying he feels "really let down" and that Charles stopped taking his calls after he stepped down from senior royal duties."When we were in Canada, I had three conversations with my grandmother and two conversations with my father before he stopped taking my calls,” he said, explaining that their relationship has since remained tense. "There's a lot to work through there, you know?" Harry said. "I feel really let down, because he's been through something similar.
