Original story:

KANSAS CITY – Sonny Gray struck out the side in the seventh inning in the 17 pitches Wednesday and it didn't come a moment too soon.

As Gray walked off the mound, the Kauffman Stadium grounds crew began unrolling the tarp. The Cincinnati Reds scored three runs in the top of the seventh and hold a 3-2 lead against the Kansas City Royals.

It's an official game because the game is past five innings, so the Reds will win if it's called early. Forecasts show the rain isn't expected to last more than an hour.
