Bystanders and emergency personnel tried to help save the victim
A woman has died from drowning after her kayak overturned in the Whitewater River on Saturday, July 3, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's department.Deputies went to the 9100 block of Lawrenceburg Road at about 12:30pm for reports of an overturned kayak.According to officials, fire personnel sent a boat down the river and fellow paddlers performed CPR until emergency responders were on scene. The woman operating the kayak has been identified as 60 year-old Bobbie Egan.Departments from Harrison, Whitewater, Miami, and Colerain Township Fire responded, as well as a crew from Bright, Indiana.
