Cincinnati Children’s Museum reopens Thursday


The Cincinnati Children's Museum officially reopens Thursday, a highly anticipated day for many parents and child care providers who have been trying to escape the rain and humidity. The reopening comes 16 months after it closed due to COVID-19 shutdowns.So far, more than 2,000 people have registered to come back or come for the first time. It's the largest amount of reservations the museum has had in a year and a half. Both members and non-members are asked to make a reservation before coming.Visitors, including kids over the age of 2, are still asked to wear masks. There will be 50 people allowed every 15 minutes to help social distancing. Officials said re-entries are not permitted right now.Kids can play in the woods, water, grocery, energy, construction and teeth areas. "Cincinnati Museum Center is always a good alternative to the summer heat. So if you're not at the pool or it's raining, come inside. Come inside where it's air-conditioned," Cody Hefner, VP of Marketing for the museum, said. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday to Monday.
