Former Walnut Hills High School standout MaCio Teague scored a game-high 22 points to lead the top-seeded Baylor Bears to an 81-72 win against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Monday night in the 2021 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight to advance to the Final Four.
Teague added five rebounds and two blocks. He was 8-of-18 from the field - including 3-of-7 from 3-point range - and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line.

Earlier this month, Teague matched a school record with 10 3-pointers in a game in the Bears' 88-73 win against Texas Tech. Teague's 35-point effort helped BU complete an undefeated home schedule for the first time in 73 years.
Teague averaged 15.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 31.6 minutes per game this season.
Teague announced last July that he was withdrawing his name from NBA Draft consideration to return to Baylor for his senior season. Teague reportedly had signed with NCAA certified agent Trinity Best in May, leaving open the possibility that Teague could return to play college basketball.
Teague averaged 13.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game last season after transferring from UNC Asheville. He received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor in May.
As a senior at Walnut Hills, Teague averaged 26.4 points per game.
