Duquesne’s Marcus Weathers, ex-Miami RedHawks transfer, enters portal

Former Miami University RedHawks transfer Marcus Weathers, the Duquesne Dukes' leading scorer last season, has entered the transfer portal and intends to play with his twin brother, Texas Southern senior guard Michael, for a season, according to a report Tuesday night from pittsburghsportsnow.com's Mike Vukovcan.

Marcus and Michael Weathers started their college basketball careers together at MU. As freshmen, they were two of the RedHawks' three top scorers before announcing in March 2017 that they would transfer.

Michael also recently entered the portal, per multiple reports.

"We're really trying to do something special together," Marcus said, per Vukovcan, of his plan to play again with Michael, who led the Tigers in scoring this past season.
