Two weeks remain in preseason ahead of FCC's April 17 opener at Nashville SC after a scrimmage loss to Minnesota United FC, which marked the end of the Orlando training sojourn for Cincinnati. Minnesota United reported a 3-1 final score, with Brenner Souza da Silva scoring FCC's lone goal via penalty kick.Each of the first three goals in the contest came from the penalty spot, in fact, as Emanuel Reynoso opened the scoring for Minnesota. Ethan Finlay doubled the lead prior to Brenner's goal. Justin McMaster's goal for the Loons polished off FC Cincinnati, which has played five preseason matches to date and posted a 1-0-2 record in matches where the final score was revealed publicly. A Wednesday scrimmage against Orlando City SC was abandoned due to weather.Prior to departing for Orlando, FCC defeated Indy XI in a scrimmage but details of the game including the final score weren't provided.
