Four teenagers were arrested Saturday morning after a deputy was struck by a stolen car that was fleeing from police on US 42.
At around 1:20 a.m., deputies with the Boone County Sheriff's Office and law enforcement officials with other Kenton County agencies took the four teens into custody.
According to the sheriff's office, the suspects were picked up on Riggs Road in Erlanger by a man and woman who got a message from the teens through a community ride-sharing page.
Officials said deputies stopped that vehicle on Riggs Road. The man and woman complied with deputies and were not affiliated with the suspects, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators said the four teens arrived at Twin Hills around 10 p.m. in a stolen car and were in the process of entering a garage at a residence when the homeowner called 911.
The teens fled the scene in the same stolen vehicle they arrived in, investigators said.
Deputies chased the stolen car along US 42. The suspects eventually drove into Erlanger and abandoned the vehicle in the area of Commonwealth Avenue and Baker Street, investigators said.
Lieutenant Chris Hall, who was struck while deploying while deploying stop sticks during the chase, sustained injuries to his arms and legs. He was released from the hospital Saturday morning.
