Man killed in 2-vehicle crash on US Route 50 in Clermont County


A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Clermont County Friday, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.Troopers said the crash happened on U.S. Route 50 in Stonelick Township at around 11:10 a.m.A 54-year-old man from Hamilton was driving his gray 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan east on U.S. Route 50. He had a 57-year-old woman who was a passenger in his vehicle. Meanwhile, Daniel Vice, 64, of Williamsburg was driving his green 2018 Peterbilt dump truck west on U.S. Route 50 when he traveled left of center and hit the back of the Dodge Grand Caravan.The dump truck then continued off the left of the road and overturned, troopers said.The Clermont County coroner pronounced Vice dead at the scene. The two people in the Dodge Grand Caravan suffered minor injuries.Troopers said all three people involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.OSHP is still investigating.
