Police investigating after shooting on University of Cincinnati’s campus


Shots were fired Sunday on the University of Cincinnati campus, according to university police.

The shots were fired near Dabney Hall, police said. UC Public Safety sent an alert to students around 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

Students were advised to stay at their current locations.

No injuries were reported, according to UC's associate public information officer Kelly Cantwell.

Police did not specify if they had a suspect in custody. The incident is under investigation.

UC Public Safety Tweeted at 1 p.m., "ALL CLEAR Officers checked area of Dabney Hall, there is no current threat to the campus community. Normal activities can resume."
