Mariemont lacrosse community rings bell in memory of Graham Harden

The depth of Mariemont coach Graham Harden's influence on the Greater Cincinnati lacrosse community and beyond was no more apparent than the response to his death June 12 from ALS.

Mourners filled Kusel Stadium the next morning to ring the bell and remember him. Mariemont's teams ring the bell after victories, now those triumphs will have extra meaning. Current boys state champion coach Steve Peterson was among the speakers.

Via Twitter, the Mariemont girls lacrosse program wrote: "Graham was an inspiration, showing us how to face hardship with resolution, determination, and the best sense of humor. He was our friend and we were blessed for every moment we got to spend with him. We will miss you, coach."

Wyoming's girls team added: "We honor the life of Graham Harden. His influence on/off the field allowed us to be better Dads, better friends, better coaches."
