Hello Butler, Warren and Clermont counties! My name is Erin, and I’m looking forward to bringing you news coverage you can't get anywhere else.
I know a few things about the area by virtue of growing up nearby, like it’s more fun to ride The Beast at Kings Island at night, that Hueston Woods is a cool place to go hiking and that Ulysses S. Grant was born in Point Pleasant. I’m excited to learn more about what makes each county unique and what residents care about.
A little about my background: I grew up in Northern Kentucky and studied journalism at Miami University. I spent the majority of the pandemic covering business and local government for the Manistee News Advocate in northern Michigan.
Report for America led me back to the Cincinnati area. It’s a national service program that places emerging journalists in under-covered communities. I know there are areas in the suburban counties that have had to go without dedicated coverage for some time.
Through my reporting this year, I hope to fill some of those gaps by keeping local governments and institutions accountable and telling stories about underrepresented communities.
Thanks to Report for America and The Enquirer, I have the time and resources to look into questions or concerns you might have about what’s happening in your community.
This is a large region for one reporter, so I took a leaf out of fellow Report for America corps member Julia Fair’s book by creating a short survey below so I can get an idea of what readers would like to see. Pleasealso email me at [email protected] with any story ideas or other thoughts. I'd love to hear from you.
I look forward to serving you.
The reporting by Fair and Glynn is made possible by donations from community members. That can mean individuals or organizations.
The Enquirer will be seeking matching funds to help pay for Glynn. If you would like to help contribute, please contact government/politics editor Carl Weiser at [email protected], senior news director Michael Perry at [email protected], or editor Beryl Love at [email protected].
