Flagger struck, killed by car in Butler County work zone


A construction flagger working in a Wayne Township work zone was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday afternoon. It happened just after 1 p.m. near the intersection of Trenton-Oxford and Jacksonburg roads. According to Kathleen Fuller with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), a subcontractor was struck by a vehicle in the area. That subcontractor with ODOT was working as a construction flagger in a work zone. According to officials with the Butler County Sheriff's Office, the worker was taken to Kettering Hospital in Kettering. That worker was later pronounced dead.
