One of Cincinnati's best-known restaurant groups is hosting a vaccine clinic for Cincinnati-area hospitality and restaurant workers from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday.
Officials at Thunderdome Restaurant Group said the event also aligns with the effort to get 80% of the Cincinnati region's residents vaccinated by July 4. Currently, the region stands at 42% inoculated, officials at the Health Collaborative said last week.
Thunderdome, the Over-the-Rhine-based hospitality group best known for the Eagle, Bakersfield, Pepp & Dolores, Currito and other area restaurants, is partnering with Mercy Health to hold the vaccination event at Bakersfield, 1213 Vine St. in OTR. Reservations are required.

Mercy's health care professionals will administer up to 300 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and set up appointments in three weeks for second doses. A photo ID will be required but no insurance is necessary.
“We innately understand the challenges hospitality and restaurant workers have faced throughout the pandemic and know that it’s been a bit of a chess match when it comes to securing vaccine appointments,” said Joe Lanni, Thunderdome's co-founder in a news release. “We really wanted to find a way to make it as easy and convenient as possible for our team members and neighboring restaurant workers to get vaccinated.”
