Rayvon Griffith, a former Taft High School standout who has committed to play for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, impressed Tuesday night in an AAU game shown live on ESPN between his Midwest Basketball Club and Strive for Greatness, featuring LeBron James' son, Bronny.
The 6-foot-7 Griffith, who announced in May that he intends to play his senior year of high school at AZ Compass in Chandler, Arizona, scored 15 first-half points.
Social media reactions to Griffith's effort:
Griffith led Taft to a Div. III state championship in March. He was named Ohio Div. III Southwest District Player of the Year, averaging 19.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game as a junior.
