An unborn child was killed following a crash on U.S. Route 50 in Miami Township on Thursday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Officials said the crash occurred on U.S. 50 near Whitney Drive around 9 a.m.
Francis Verdin, 26, of Williamsburg, was driving eastbound in a 2019 International CV515 Rollback when he crossed the center line and struck a 2004 Honda Civic driving in the opposite direction, according to a release.
Verdin's vehicle also struck a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, officials said.
A 29-year-old female who was driving the Chevrolet sustained serious injuries from the crash and was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment, officials said, adding her unborn child died as a result of her injuries.
The man driving the Honda, 30-year-old Sebastian Price, of Bethel, did not report any injuries, the release states.
The crash is being investigated by the Batavia post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
