Wet weekend, then clear skies for Memorial Day

Before we see clear skies for Memorial Day, Greater Cincinnati will have to get through a few days of wet weather.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday and Saturday.

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Northern Kentucky counties and Clermont County due to the storms.

"Showers with a few thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into early this evening. A few of these storms may be strong to severe, with damaging wind being the primary threat," the National Weather Service said.

We will see "much cooler air" starting Friday, forecasters said, which will turn into "much below normal temperatures" through Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service said temperatures moderate early next week with dry weather expected Sunday through Tuesday.

Forecasters are calling for a high of 56 on Saturday and a high of 67 on Sunday. Temperatures on Monday are forecast around 76.
