A message was sent when the Cincinnati Bengals took the field on Day 1 of organized team activities.
The Bengals know they’ve been stuck in the division cellar for three consecutive seasons, and they are motivated to start making some changes.
“We've got a real purpose. This team is on a mission. You've probably talked to Jessie (Bates) and Joe Burrow, (Sam) Hubbard and all of these guys that have been here for a while now and the time is now for us to put our best foot forward. We have a lot of work to do. We have the pieces here that we're all excited about that we've sought to add and guys that have continued to grow in this organization that are ready to take the next step,” Bengals coach Zac Taylor said. “I'm just excited about the group we have of players and coaches. We've got a lot of work to do, but I am going to be excited to go compete with these guys."
