All high schoolers in Cincinnati Public Schools will have the opportunity to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine next week on campus, officials said.
The free vaccination clinics were made possible by the district's partnerships with the Cincinnati Health Department, TriHealth and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, CPS assistant superintendent Susan Bunte said during a Wednesday board meeting.
Last week Gov. Mike DeWine said children who are 12 or older are eligible to receive the vaccine. Appointments at Cincinnati Children's started to fill up quickly, officials said, with more than 1,300 requests in one day.
