Gerrid Doaks, a running back for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats for the past four seasons, was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 17th pick in the seventh round (244rd overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Doaks finished the 2020 season with 673 rushing yards on 144 carries in nine games with seven rushing touchdowns, adding 202 receiving yards on 14 catches with two receiving TDs.
UC safety James Wiggins was selected by the Arizona Cardinals one pick earlier. Bearcats safety Darrick Forrest was selected by Washington in the fifth round. UC offensive lineman James Hudson III was selected by the Cleveland Browns earlier in the day, in the fourth round.
