The bulk of the Southwest Ohio high school baseball playoffs begin on Tuesday with district finals set for next week. After that, the regionals take place with the winners in each division all pointing toward Akron's Canal Park.
State semifinals are scheduled for June 10-11 with all four state championship games taking place Saturday, June 12.
By division and sectional, here are the possible paths for Southwest Ohio's top seeds to reach the district final level. Much is based on seeding, but as some find come tournament time, anything can happen.
Division I, Region 4
St. Xavier has the top seed and is looking at a May 19 game with the winner of Middletown/Northwest. A Bombers win and they could possibly meet Kings or Walnut Hills May 25. From there a possible district opponent might be No. 3 seed Springboro on May 27. St. Xavier won the Greater Catholic League-South and was led in hitting by senior Gavin Vogelgesang at .481. Junior Max Klare hit .370 and led the league in homers (4) and RBI (25).
