Former Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Alex Redmond signed with the New England Patriots, the team announced Monday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Redmond signed with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in May 2016. He played in 32 games over four seasons for Cincinnati, starting all 15 games in which he played in 2018.
Pelissero reported last week via Twitter that Redmond worked out for the Pats.
Former Bengals defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick, who played last season for the Arizona Cardinals, also visited the Patriots last Thursday, according to a report via Twitter from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport:
Kirkpatrick, 31, had three interceptions and 56 tackles (combined) in the 14 games in which he appeared for the Cardinals last season, including 11 starts. He signed a one-year deal with Arizona last August.
The Bengals released Kirkpatrick, their first-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, in March 2020. The Enquirer's Tyler Dragon wrote that terminating Kirkpatrick's contract gave the Bengals $8.2 million in salary cap relief.
