Franklin man charged in bomb threat that cleared a West Chester Walgreen’s

West Chester police have arrested and charged a 33-year-old Franklin man in connection with a bomb threat made Friday.

Update 9:30 a.m. today: West Chester police have arrested and charged a 33-year-old Franklin man in connection with a bomb threat made Friday.

Travis Goad is charged with felony counts of making false alarms and inducing panic. He's in the Butler County Jail.

Update, 2 p.m. Friday: Police are clearing the scene at a West Chester Walgreen's after a suspicious vehicle and possible explosive device was reported Friday afternoon.

Police spokesperson Barb Wilson said the investigation found no bomb threat to the area.

"There was nothing found, no explosive device," Wilson said. 

Wilson said police were made aware of the possible threat by an individual who came to the West Chester Police Department earlier Friday. Police will continue to investigate the threat. No charges have been filed at this time.
