The St. Bernard Police Department is investigating an incident that happened on Sunday in front of the St. Bernard Market.
A Black man, wearing a blue Champion hoodie and tattered jeans exited a late model Honda Accord outside the St. Bernard Market at 12:45 p.m., according to information supplied by law enforcement.
The man then fired a shot into the ground in close proximity to another man. Words were exchanged between the two as the victim retreated into the store, police said.
The suspect then got back into his vehicle and left the area southbound on Vine Street, according to police.
