Look out thrill-seekers, Cedar Point is adding a new ride.
The park recently announced that it will debut the Wild Mouse in 2023, its 18th roller coaster experience.
The new ride pays homage to the original Wild Mouse coaster that operated in the 1950s and '60s. Much like its predecessor, the modern Wild Mouse will take participants on an unpredictable "cat and mouse" quest to capture the cheese. It will involve hills, twists, dives and hairpin turns. The ride will feature six mouse-themed cars and one cheese-themed car. Each four-passenger car will climb 52 feet and ride along a 1,312-foot orange track.

Individuals must be at least 48 inches tall to ride alone or 42 inches and accompanied by a supervising companion.
The modern Wild Mouse roller coaster will be part of a new area of the amusement park near the beach, called The Boardwalk. It will include a modern Grand Pavilion, inspired by the original 1888 structure.

The Grand Pavilion will feature many characteristics of the original, as well as some new additions. The bi-level complex will house a new restaurant, featuring unique and traditional culinary items, a waterfront bar, indoor and outdoor seating and viewing decks with unparalleled views of Cedar Point and the Lake Erie shoreline.
Additionally, two existing attractions, Matterhorn and Scrambler, will relocate to The Boardwalk, and Scrambler will be renamed Atomic Scrambler. The Tiki Twirl will also be renamed after a former park classic, Calypso. Other rides in the area are Giant Wheel, Troika, Dodgem, GateKeeper and WindSeeker.
The new attractions are expected to debut during the park's opening day in May 2023.
