New University of Cincinnati men's basketball coach Wes Miller has added a major piece to the program.
Miller on Monday officially announced the addition of assistant coach Chad Dollar, the third and final bench coach on his staff.
"While building our staff I thought it was important to have a high level of experience among our assistant coaches. Hiring Chad Dollar gives us just that," Miller said. "He has been coaching at the high major level of college basketball for over a decade. He's widely known throughout our profession as an elite recruiter, but I think his value is so much greater than that. Going through the interview process with Chad I found that we share the same values, goals and purpose for coaching. I think he is an elite overall basketball coach and I believe he'll be a Division I head coach in the future."
Dollar spent the past three seasons as an assistant at the University of Georgia, working under head coach Tom Crean. Dollar recruited and coached Anthony Edwards, the No.1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
"I'm excited to be joining Coach Miller and his staff," Dollar said. "He is one of the elite coaches in the country and I am looking forward to getting to work to help build on the rich tradition of Cincinnati basketball."
Dollar, a University of Michigan graduate, has had coaching stints at Auburn, Georgia Tech, Wichita State, Arkansas State, LSU, Murray State, Georgia Southern, Eastern Kentucky and Western Carolina.

Miller, who was hired April 15 as the 28th head coach in the history of the UC men's basketball program, adds Dollar to a staff that includes assistants Chris LePore, Andre Morgan and Mike Roberts, who all previously worked under Miller at UNC Greensboro.
Cincinnati hired Miller to replace John Brannen, who was fired April 9 after two seasons. Miller agreed to a six-year, $7.875 million deal to be UC's head coach.
