Mason's abortion ban faces challenges

How long will Mason's abortion ban stand?

A newly sworn-in city council meets for the first time Monday evening and could vote to repeal the ban. The council includes two incumbents who voted against the ban and two new members who have said the ban is beyond the authority of a city council. The city also has a new mayor and vice mayor.

A petition that would put the ban on the ballot next year is also looming. The Warren County Board of Elections is currently certifying the signatures.
