Some Cincinnati Public schools offering agriculture classes to students

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - When you think about school programs for farming, you probably think of rural school districts, but administrators at Cincinnati Public Schools also want their students to learn about agriculture.

On Thursday, members of the Ohio State University's Extension Program got an up-close look at the CPS program. The district has agriculture programs at Rothenberg, Gamble Montessori and Clark Montessori.

The CPS agriculture program is also geared to give students training for a career in the industry or to help those who want to go on to college or technical school to study things like horticulture and landscaping.
