CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A 15-year-old accused of shooting two others, killing a teenager, may be tried as an adult. Motions were filed Tuesday to move Donte Thompkins' case to adult court.
Kesean Banks was shot and killed outside the Crescent Apartment building off of Reading Road on Sept. 8. Another victim was also shot and taken to the hospital. That victim is expected to recover.
Police arrested Thompkins on Monday. He's charged with murder and felonious assault. He also faces a menacing charge for allegedly threatening to shoot another person.
The teen's attorney asked that he be given a cash bond. He's a ninth-grade student at Shroder High School.
The magistrate denied that request and ordered that he stay in juvenile detention.
He'll return to court on Sept. 25.
