CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Cincinnati is No. 25 out of the top 50 cities for mosquitoes, according to the latest survey from Terminix.
As we move into fall, we move into prime West Nile virus season. Health care providers want all of us to realize that, nationwide, the last 12 months have been the wettest ever recorded. That standing water in many places leaves a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
So covering up, using repellant and dunk sticks are some good ways to start your own protection.
This survey found the top five cities for mosquitoes are:
1. Los Angeles
2. Dallas-Fort Worth
3. Houston
4. New York
5. Washington, D.C.
