Slick spots could make for a tricky Monday morning commute
WEATHER. WE HAVE A BUSY PATTERN SETTING UP STARTING THE TODAY. WE HAD THAT WINTRY MIX. IT WILL BE AROUND THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. NOTICE THE TEMPERATURE BELOW 32. WE COULD HAVE SOME SLICK SPOTS. SOME RAIN MOVING IN. TEMPERATURES MAKE IT THROUGH FREEZING, BUT RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO FALL. IT IS DOWN TO ONE MILE IN HAMILTON. THREE MILES IN WILMINGTON. OF THE LAST SEVERAL HOURS, VISIBILITY HAS BEEN LESS THAN FIVE MILES. THE FOG WILL BE AROUND FOR THE ENTIRE NIGHT AND THROUGH THE MORNING AS WELL. I HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED REPORTS ABOUT ICY SPOTS AND ROADWAYS THROUGHOUT HIGHLAND COUNTY TONIGHT. AS THE WINTRY MIX MOVES THROUGH THE AREA, WE COULD SEE MORE ICY SPOTS DEVELOPING. YOU WILL START TO SEE THE MAIN LIVING IN CLOSER TO 8:00 IN THE MORNING. THE RAIN MOVING IN FROM THE SOUTHWEST, PUSHING THROUGH THE ENTIRE WARNING AND THROUGH THE ENTIRE DAY AS WELL. STARTING TO MOVE IN WITH A WINTRY MIX. THIS WILL LAST THROUGH ABOUT LUNCHTIME. NORTH OF THE RIVER MOSTLY, BUT ESPECIALLY NORTH OF THE 275. AS WE GET INTO THE AFTERNOON, WARM AIR CONTINUES TO MIX. OFF AND ON THROUGH THE REST OF THE DAY. STEADY RAINFALL, HEAVY THROUGHOUT NORTHERN KENTUCKY. AT TIMES, WE WILL START TO SEE A COUPLE BREAKS, BUT THE RAIN WILL LIKELY CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY AND OFTEN ON THROUGH TUESDAY. ONE IN PLACE FOR THE NEXT 40 MINUTES BECAUSE OF SLICK SPOTS AND IT WILL CONTINUE TO BE POSSIBILITY THROUGH THE REST OF THE NIGHT AS WEL A SECOND WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY GOING INTO EFFECT AT 7:00 IN THE MORNING, HIGHLIGHTING AREAS MOST LIKELY TO SEE A WINTRY MIX AND FREEZING RAIN, WHICH COULD HAVE ISSUES WITH SLICK SPOT GENERALLY ALONG THE RIVER AND NORTH OF THE RIVER. OVERALL, WATCH OUT FOR SLICK SPOTS, ESPECIALLY NORTH OF THE 275 LOOP. STILL KEEPING AN EYE ON SOME SLICK SPOTS WITHIN THE 275 LOOP AREA. TEMPERATURES WILL REACH INTO THE 40’S. ALL DAY LONG SIMPLY BECAUSE WE HAVE A CHANCE OF A WINTRY MIX AND CHANCE OF RAIN THROUGH THE REST OF THE DAY TOMORROW. SPOTTY SHOWERS ARE A POSSIBILITY. STILL KEEPING AN EYE ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED QUESTIONS BECAUSE OF A CHANCE OF SNOWFALL. NOT LOOKING TO BE A BIG SNOW MAKER, BUT IT WILL BE VERY COLD
